I am inspired to create art when I am moved by scenes, colors, and light that I observe in nature.
The depth and range of colors and light that are all around us in the 4 seasons of nature really excite me, and I am endlessly inspired and drawn into a sense of wonder.
I am most experienced in watercolor, and I love its transparency, its willfulness, and the airiness it can convey on the paper. Recently, I have begun to play with and learn about pastels. I am finding this media to be quite amazing in its brilliance, and application to almost any subject.
I also love art because of the network of interesting and inspiring artist-friends I am meeting along this journey.
From the view so far, I hope to be on this road for a long, long time.
